What they showed.
What they’re making.
I am disappointed, but not surprised, I'd rather just get the Ducati Monster for the money.

how would you ride that without burning off your thigh?
![]() 10/01/2018 at 14:56 |

The first pic looks better but how would you not burn your thigh?

shocker, they wont let you have a ra cing exhaust out of the factory...
![]() 10/01/2018 at 15:03 |

And the rear suspension is now a dual shock.

you sure?
still looks like a single, just off-set

Thats what it looked like to me too. The photos of the left side don’t show a shock.
![]() 10/01/2018 at 15:16 |

You’re right, it’s centered, there’s just the weird cover on the left side.

I like the look of the high exhaust, but I don’t know how that would work from a functional standpoint. Seems like it would be a burn hazard.

I love it i think is a sexy naked bike and the possibilities to mod.

Triumph doesn't have much of an issue with their scrambler

Wonder how much it weighs...
![]() 10/01/2018 at 15:29 |

Weight (Empty Tank / Full of Fuel)
497 lbs / 518 lbs (226 kg / 235 kg)

Could the muffler be bigger, maybe uglier than the racing version? Ah they nailed it on that one

Thanks. Bit of a porker for something “sporty”
Less power and more weight than a monster actually.

Fair point. Maybe it was an issue of heat shielding? No idea

I’m sure that's all it would take. Easy. It's an exhaust style that's been used for a very long time.

Sad!
Still looks decent, but at $15k that’s a lot of dollars for a bike that doesn’t compete on paper and doesn’t live up to hype visually.
That said, I don’t dislike the production looks.

That’s pretty much every bike that meets the new Euro standards. They all sound over-muffled as well.
It’s an easy fix from the aftermarket, however.

I really don’t see what’s so different between the Custom and the production bike, other than obvious things for making it street legal (exhaust, mirrors, license plate, pillion, assorted emissions equipment
). The motor is sure as hell better than the Custom’s. What do you see that’s so wrong with it?

Only a single disk for the brakes up front. Lame.

The reviewers who rode the high exhaust prototype said it was definitely a burn hazard. Even in full leathers it would cook their leg in a matter of minutes

I don’t hate it, but that’s because if you’re from Springfield you’re required to not hate Indian.
(In all seriousness
, the Scout Bobber tho...)

Much like how you can't hate Crosley's if you're from Cincinnati.

I particularly like the look of the race pipes too, I don’t care if the passenger is at risk for burning their leg, that’s their problem

yes, but certianly a step in the right direction for a merican manufacturers

Absolutely!

So good news, apparently Indian is going to offer a third party high exit
exhaust like the prototype had.
